"You cannot tie a knot with one hand". Old Mongolian wisdoms also apply to providers of modern technologies and services in the field of information- and telecommunication. In recent years, Vienna has established itself as the IT capital in Central and Eastern Europe and is today the headquarter of many international ICT enterprises for their activities in the central and eastern European market.

Lone warriors in the IT field have no easy standing. A lack of contracts, insufficient marketing and a low profile are just a few of the countless problems especially SME have to struggle with.

Vienna IT Enterprises (VITE), the network for IT-companies; research-, development- and education institutions, was founded 2004 by the Vienna Business Agency.

VITE´s goal is to support especially enterprises in those fields with specific activities in relevant areas. Serving as a platform to realise ideas, initiatives and projects VITE wants to support networking between companies and colleagues as well as to establish contact with research-, development- and educational institutions. Services by VITE include consultation concerning questions of location, law and sponsorship as well as concrete aid with projects, the organisation of events, seminars and expositions. VITE also helps with lobbying and the positive placement of the IT location Vienna in a national and international context.

With many partner companies and even more contacts in different areas of the national and international IT sector VITE provides networking and information on a high level.

Vienna IT Enterprises is located in the Business & Research Center at the Höchstädtplatz in Vienna's 20th district.
